Alissa Tafti is the President of her union Local 2211 AFGE, and Senior International Economist (Agriculture and Fisheries) at the US International Trade Commission.

She previously held positions in research and analysis at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and the Institute for State Effectiveness from 2008 to 2011. Alissa holds a BA in Comparative Literature and Philosophy from New York University and an MA in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
