Marsha Guthrie is an accomplished strategist, organizer, and mother, deeply committed to advancing racial and social justice through equity-centered practices. With over 20 years of experience working within complex systems—including 15 years in local government—Marsha has driven systematic reforms and strengthened systems of care by establishing strategic initiatives and policy innovations rooted in best practices.

Currently serving as the Senior Director of the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) at Race Forward, Marsha provides visionary leadership to a team of 22, guiding the network’s strategic direction and fostering connections among public sector leaders nationwide committed to transforming government for racial equity. Her career highlights include leading community planning, partnership development, and resource management for the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, where she played a pivotal role in advancing racial equity systems transformation.

Renowned for her results-driven leadership and ability to turn ideas into action, Marsha has designed and incubated impactful, community-based social initiatives that continue to thrive. She is a graduate of Montclair State University and lives in South Florida with her daughter.
